Frequently asked questions
Does it rewrite my posts in the database?
No. All tagging, localization and button changes happen at display time. Your stored content never changes, and turning the plugin off returns every link to exactly what you wrote.
What happens to links that already have a tag?
Your configured tag wins. If a link carries an old or foreign tag, it is replaced with the tag your rules resolve for that post and storefront, so every click is credited to you.
How does geo localization work?
When a visitor clicks an Amazon link, their country is resolved server side and the click is routed to their local storefront, using the tag you configured for that store. Stores you have no tag for are never targeted, so a commission is never traded for a redirect.
What does the monitor check?
Every ASIN found on your site is checked against Amazon for 404 and out-of-stock status on a schedule. The dashboard groups products into Live, Out of Stock and 404, each with the pages that use them.
Does it work with WooCommerce?
Yes. External product buy buttons can route through the click resolver so they inherit tagging, geo and click stats, or follow one custom link pattern with the product ASIN substituted in.
Will it slow my site down?
No. Link processing is a lightweight filter on page render, health checks run on a server schedule, and the click endpoint is a single fast redirect. Nothing heavy runs in your visitors’ browsers.
